Owner and Founder

Shirley Court Gonzalez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), who is trained in Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback at the HeartMath Institute, plus EFT/Tapping training, and is a Board-Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD) issued by the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work. She received her Master’s Degree in 1993 from Columbia University, and attended the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, the Post Graduate Center for Mental Health, the NY School for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, NJ Couples Therapy Program of the Center for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, and is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. She is also a member of the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy. And a member of The American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work.

Over the past 18 years, she has worked in Mental Health and Substance Abuse clinics while maintaining her private practice.

Shirley Court Gonzalez has over 23 years of experience in serving local residents by providing professional individual and couples therapy. As a bilingual-bicultural psychotherapist. She provides services in both Spanish and English.
